Education Unit
Any materials borrowed from the Garden River First Nations Resource Centre must be returned no later than 10 (ten) working days from the date borrowed,
Patrons who do not return materials within the 10 (ten) working day lending period will pay a late fee of $1.00 per day.
Patrons who do not return materials within 15 (fifteen) working days will pay a replacement fee of the total cost of the particular material(s) not returned.
Failure to pay the replacement fee - steps will be taken to have these funds deducted from any Education Unit distribution to patron, with a $10.00 additional administration fee.

Access to the Resource Centre computers is a privilege and not a right.
Misuse of the computer, or the Internet, or any of the rules and policies in this document will result in loss of computer privileges.
Computer access is on a first-come first served basis.
Those using the Resource Centre's computers will be
allowed one hour of use.
Education use is not restricted to one hour. There is no
time limit to this use.
Due to rising operating costs, there will be a charge per
black & white page printed.
These costs are waived for printouts for educational or
get-employment purposes.
Patrons will not create or distribute images, sounds, messages or other material which are obscene, harassing, racist, malicious, fraudulent or libelous. Nor shall the computers of the Resource Centre be used in any activity considered immoral, unethical, or illegal.
Patrons will not intentionally seek information about, browse, obtain copies of or modify files, passwords or tapes belonging to other people, unless specifically authorized by the same said people.
Patrons shall respect intellectual and property rights and laws, whether accessing material locally or on a remote system. This includes private, confidential or restricted data, as well as copyrights and licences.
The use of Chat software and visiting pornographic sites is PROHIBITED.
The patron will not use software downloaded from the Internet, or their own personal stock on the Resource Centre computers. However, patrons can use their own diskettes for either working from or downloading to. Patrons are encouraged to use their own diskette. Personal diskettes will be virus scanned.
Food and drink are not allowed near the computers.
Not all sources on the Internet provide accurate, complete or current information. The Internet resources may contain material of a controversial nature.
Although the Resource Centre does use a virus checker on the computers, due to the constantly evolving nature of the Internet, no virus checker is 100% effective. Therefore, the Resource Centre is not responsible for damages done to the patron's diskette, nor for any loss of data, damage or liability that might occur from using the Resource Centre's computers.
Loss of Computer Privileges range from one day for disruptive behaviour to one month for more serious penalties.
The Computer Coordinator will give one warning only.
